Our Church

What We Believe

We believe The Bible is the inspired word of God. It is the rule of our faith and practice. (2 Timothy 3:16; Matthew 5:17-20; Hebrews 6:18)

We believe in one God, the Creator of all things. The Father is seated in Heaven. The Son Jesus Christ is interceding for us to the Father. The Holy Spirit indwells the believer and opens the hearts and minds of those who do not know Jesus. (Galatians 3:20; John 1:1; John 14-16; Matthew 3:16-17; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14; 1 Peter 1:2)

We believe that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior. He lived a sinless life, was crucified, died and was buried, He rose again on the third day. He is the only way to Salvation. (John 3:16; Acts 4:12; John 14:6)

We believe that we are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. (Romans 5:1-2)

We believe that each one of us is a disciple of Jesus Christ. We will continue to grow in faith, prayer, worship, sharing our faith, serving others, Bible study and fellowship. (Acts 2:42-47)

We believe that we are to be salt and light to this world. (Matthew 5:13-16)

We believe that sin separates us from God. (1 John 1:5-2:2)

We believe in Heaven and Hell. We choose our own destiny by following Jesus or by denying to follow Jesus. (Luke 16:19-31; Matthew 7:13-14; Revelation 14:10-11; Revelation 21:4)

We believe in the use of spiritual gifts to build up the church. (Romans 12:4-8; 1 Corinthians 12:1-31, Ephesians 4:11-13)

We believe in baptism as an act of obedience and Jesus not only modeled it but commissioned us to carry out this gift. (Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 2:38)

We believe in celebrating communion every Sunday. (Acts 2:42)

We believe that we are Christians only, but not the only Christians. We are a self-governing, independent church. (John 17:11)

We believe that Jesus will come again to this earth to judge the living and the dead. (2 Timothy 4:1)
